THURSDAY
NIGHT WITH
MR. C.
PERRY COMO
With Mitchell
Ayres' Orchestra
& The Ray Charles Singers
Since the advent of television, Thursday night has become a family-stay-at-home-night — for that's the night that RCA recording star Perry Como is the special guest welcomed into all TV owner's homes throughout Australia. Of course, Mr. C. is no stranger guest. Since he made his first RCA recording of "Goodbye Sue" in 1943, he has had twelve others that have sold over a million copies each and his voice has been heard singing them in homes throughout the world issuing from phonographs, radios, and now, television sets. No matter which medium he chooses, he is still the same incomparable artist. With his smooth effortless production, he doesn't strain to please, he just gets that "glad to be singing this for you" sound into his voice, smiles his warm friendly smile and his audience is won. For this album, Perry has brought along many of the people who make his weekly television show so enjoyable — The Ray Charles Singers and Mitchell Ayres' great orchestra. Also, as he does on his show, Mr. C. sings a variety of tunes — some old, some new, but all guaranteed to please. © RCA of Australia PTY LTD 1958| Front | Back | Side 1 | Side 2 | Original American Album | |
