"Sing to me
Mr. C. sing to me . . ." The familiar theme swells as Mister C.
takes his place at the boom mike. On screen you see Perry looking
over the music on the stand before him. Above him is the mike and in
the lower right hand corner is a single rose set in a vase. A guitar
picks up the melody from the Ray Charles Singers and segues into
Perry's first number. As the melody builds Mitchell Ayres expertly
brings in rhythm, strings and brass. Over the past few years millions of TV viewers have enjoyed and applauded Perry's appearances on his "Kraft Music Hall" series and one of the most popular spots on this show was his "medley time" where Perry just sat back and sang a selection from the many requests he received. For this EP we have picked a quartet of the most frequently requested songs from this selection of Perry's show. The style is relaxed, the backgrounds are light and easy and Perry's singing is as always superb.
