~ introduced by Ruth Etting in the 1928 Stage musical "Whoopee"
and
on records by Benny Goodman who recorded it twice for
Columbia in
1934 and 1936. In the 1951 Gus Kahn film
biography "I'll See You In My Dreams"
it was
sung by Patrice Wymore. The song was so associated with Etting that it
became the title song for her screen
biography "Love Me or Leave Me" in 1955
in
which Doris Day played the role of Etting.
The Satisfiers
Vocal quartet known for backing up Perry Como, Vaughan
Monroe, and Guy Mitchell.
They also cut many jingles. The group that sang with Perry
Como in the 1940s consisted of Helen Carroll,
Ted Hanson, Art Lambert, and Bob Lange.
In the 1950s, the members were DeLoris Randall
(alto/soprano), who joined in 1953,
Bob Lange (tenor), Art Lambert (baritone) and Loren Welch
(baritone).
