This new format compilation album appears to have been introduced circa as an alternative
to the RCA Victor 45 RPM Extended Play format which ended at the same time. Compact 33
Double albums, their name taken from the long-play album format, were introduced as
mini-versions of popular albums at the same RPM and with the small hole of their big brother LP.
This particular compilation appears to have been released simultaneously with the full album.
The format did not survive.
