Notes: ~ Perry appeared in
the 1948 Hollywood musical "Words and Music"
which told the story of the composers. It was the last of
only four Hollywood movies in which he appeared. By his
own admission, he wasn't cut out to be an actor but on
Christmas Eve of that same year he would begin a
television career that would last for virtually fifty
years . . . and may not be over yet! The song "Where
or When" was a particular favorite of his in 'live'
performance and it's not known whether he ever recorded a
studio version.
