In December of 1978 Perry recorded his first songs with Mike Berniker as producer. Berniker then produced several albums with him into the 1980s. From these early sessions, two tracks were released as a single, "When I Wanted You" and "Forever", and one other, "You Are So Beautiful", was later included in Perry's 1983 album "So It Goes". The two remaining tracks, "To Make You Smile Again", and "Rosemary Blue", were never released.
