Vinyl Version| Lyrics | Album Links | Digital Finder | 1970 'Live' Version |
With Mitchell Ayres and His Orchestra
and Chorus
Recorded at Manhattan Center, New York City
Recorded January 11, 1951

Notes: ~ introduced by baritone Lois Deppe and Russell Wooding's Jubilee Singers in the 1931
Stage musical "Great Day!" Lawrence Tibbett sang it in the Musical motion picture "The Prodigal"
( originally called "The Southerner" ) and recorded it for Victor. One of three major standards, the
other two being "Great Day!" and "More Than You Know," to come from the short-lived show.
This song was an apparent favourite of Perry's, performed several times on his television show
and recorded in "live" performance at the International Hotel, Las Vegas, June 25, 26 and 27, 1970,
for his first live-recorded album.
