Recorded January 11, 1951
-
- Notes: ~ introduced by baritone
Lois Deppe and Russell Wooding's Jubilee Singers in the
1931
- Stage musical "Great Day!" Lawrence
Tibbett sang it in the Musical motion picture "The
Prodigal"
- ( originally called "The
Southerner" ) and recorded it for Victor. One of
three major standards, the
- other two being "Great
Day!" and "More Than You Know," to come
from the short-lived show.
- This song was an apparent
favourite of Perry's, performed several times on his
television show
- and recorded in "live"
performance at the International Hotel, Las Vegas, June
25, 26 and 27, 1970,
- for his first live-recorded album.
