In
the Middle of Nowhere
| This song was introduced by Perry in his film debut "Something for the Boys" 1944 but not recorded for RCA Victor. This was the film version of Cole Porter's stage musical but the only Porter song retained was "Something for the Boys" sung by Vivian Blaine in the film but introduced by Ethel Merman in the stage show. Songs featuring Perry within his films were recorded independently of the record label. Those released by RCA were re-recorded. In addition to this song, another one not recorded was "Mountain Greenery" composed by Rodgers and Hart and featured within the 1948 film musical "Words and Music". |
