WARNING: Another Australian compilation of Perry's
songs including seven tracks from "Como's Golden Records" from
the middle to late 1950s. This compilation contains two rare tracks,
Perry's 1957 single "Marchin' Along To The Blues" and a
previously unreleased track recorded in December, 1958, titled "Bella
Bella Sue", also released by Bear Records within their "Juke Box
Baby" vinyl compilation. Eleven of these songs should be released
here in either Stereo or Binaural Stereo but probably are not. Sources for
Australian releases tend to be several generations removed from first
generation masters and recordings previously recorded for stereo are often
electronically reprocessed from a monaural copy. This is very
surprising for a company which is directly affiliated with BMG and should
have access to better source material. Properly remastered from
first generation sources, this compilation would deserve high marks for
content released within the context of the period.
