Dear Friends:

For a change, I thought I'd like to write
all you nice people a letter.

For one thing, I hope you enjoy this
Highlighter Album — the songs in it happen
to be among my personal favorites.

I've wanted for a long time to thank you for the many
wonderful letters you send me.
I figured out the best way I could do this was to say it with music.
And that's the story behind our new album, WE GET LETTERS.

It's your album really because all the songs in it are the ones most requested by you
in your letters to me. We tried to present them the way you liked them on our
TV show, with a couple of Mitch Ayres boys backing me in the rhythm department.

If we overlooked your favorite tune this time, we'll
try to include it next album around.

Thanks again. Keep those letters coming in.
