This Gold Standard Series 45 RPM Extended Play compilation
features four of Perry's popular standards previously featured within his
long play albums and released within this compilation in 1960. During the
middle 1950s it was common to find songs released within various formats
as gradually the 12" long play record became the album standard.
Perry's first full stereophonic albums were recorded in early 1958 but
there remained a large market for his monaural recordings within other
popular formats.
All
tracks in this compilation were monaural.
this
selection was produced by Charles
Grean and J. Burgess with Chorus and Orchestra directed by Henri René.
The song was featured within Perry's last motion picture "Words and
Music" in 1948.
