Sammy Cahn (1913 - 1993) Born as Samuel Cohen in New York City. A lyricist since 1935, he has supplied lyrics for many films, often working in collaboration with composers Jule Styne or Jimmy Van Heusen. Won Academy Awards for the title song of "Three Coins in the Fountain" (1954), "All the Way" from "The Joker is Wild" (1957), "High Hopes" from "A Hole in the Head" (1959), and "Call Me Irresponsible" from "Papa's Delicate Condition" (1963).
