
| Composer born Kathleen Greeley Twomey in Boston on April 27th, 1914, well known for the English lyrics for the song "Wooden Heart" which she composed with Ben Weisman, Fred Wise and Bert Kaempfert, an adaptation to a German folk song, performed by Elvis Presley in the 1960 movie "G.I. Blues". She composed this song, "The Island of Forgotten Lovers" , with long-time and prolific Como composer Dick Manning having hit records to his credit no less than "Papa Loves Mambo" and "Hot Diggity ( Dog Ziggity Boom )" to name just two |
